Bentonville Man Killed in Car Accident

A 62-year-old Bentonville man was killed from serious injuries he suffered in a two car accident, on Wednesday.

The man was traveling east in his 1997 Honda Accord on Southeast 28th Street through the intersection at J Street when his vehicle crashed with a 2004 Jeep Wrangler driven by a 32-year-old man of Bentonville, according to reports released by Bentonville Police Department.

He was extricated from his vehicle by Bentonville Firefighters and transported to Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville where he later died from the serious injuries he suffered in the car accident, according to the news report.

The driver of the Jeep Wrangler was issued a citation for running a red light, according to the news report.
