Car Accident Injures Two Arkansans

The Highway is as dangerous as ever with car accidents happening more and more often. Passengers in vehicles have rights against the driver of the vehicle if the driver is negligent. Two people were injured in a one car accident in McDonald County.
Julienne K. Bergman who is 19 years old was driving west on Missouri 90 when she lost control of her vehicle, ran off the road, and overturned. Her passenger was Kelsey Bowen who is 21 years old. Bergman is from Elkins, Arkansas and Bowen is from Bella Vista, Arkansas. Bowen, the passenger, was taken to Freeman West Hospital in Joplin, MO with serious injuries. Bergman, the driver, was taken to Northwest Arkansas Medical Center in Bentonville with minor injuries.
In car accidents the driver has duty to drive with reasonable care in order to protect the safety of the passengers. Whether or not Bergman was negligent in her driving is unknown at this time; however drivers should know this duty exist to their passengers.
