My daddy is a line foreman for North Arkansas Electic Cooperative in Salem, Arkansas. He and his crew and fellow workers have been working non-stop since the ice hit Arkansas. This storm is one of the worst we have ever seen. I sincerley hope you have power at your home and business right now. However, if you do not, rest assured men and women are working around the clock to try and help you.

I just got off the phone with my dad and he told me that hundreds of linemen have traveled from neighbor states to help us, 18-wheelers have been dumping loads of poles at job sites, the national guard is clearing roads, FEMA is assisting, and people in the community are helping those in need as well. I saw on the news that red cross has shelters set up across the top half of the state.

Be careful, be smart, and be grateful we live in a place where so many people are willing to help in a storm.
