Tractor-Trailer Accident Spills Detergent on Arkansas Highway

Two tractor-trailers crashed in a tractor-trailer accident on Interstate 30, Wednesday, while traffic was slowed down due to road construction, according to police.

The collision occurred just after 2:55 pm when a 2007 Freightliner struck the rear of another 2007 Freightliner.
One truck driver was treated on the scene by emergency personnel while the other was transported to Baptist Health medical Center, where he was treated and released.

Personnel from Clark County Office of Emergency Management (CCOEM) were on the scene along with crews from Arkansas highway and Transportation Department to clean up oil that had leaked onto the highway during the accident.

Detergent was leaking from one of the loads on the truck and also had to be cleaned up from the highway. Both lanes of the highway were shut down for 15-20 minutes while crews worked to clear the highway.
